A Python puzzle a day.

One short snippet. What does it print? Four answers, three tries. Everyone gets the same puzzle, and a new one arrives at midnight UTC. No account: your streak lives in this browser.

Each puzzle is a real Python behaviour that catches people out: a default argument that remembers, a copy that is not one, a rounding rule nobody told you about. Pick what you think it prints. Wrong answers cost a try; after three, or when you get it, you see why, with a link to the lesson behind it on pythonmastery.io and a button that opens the snippet there so you can poke at it.

Each puzzle says how hard it is. The week has a rhythm, like a newspaper crossword: easy on Mondays and Wednesdays, medium on Tuesdays and Thursdays, hard on Fridays, and a mix at the weekend.

Every answer on this page was checked by running the code on Python 3.13, the same Python the exercises here run.

Your result, streak and history are stored in this browser and nowhere else. Clearing your site data, or the erase button on the privacy page, removes them.
